I played Division II soccer at UCSD where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Economics. I also hold a master’s degree in leadership and management from the University of San Diego.
My path to becoming a instructor/trainer/coach began in 2015 when I tore my ACL and meniscus playing recreational soccer. Over the course of 2.5 years I had 7 major surgeries to repair my knee. I quickly became consumed by fitness and nutrition information from all mediums (books, podcasts, documentaries, movies endless online articles, etc…) all of which gave me the knowledge and tools to help others. What I know for sure, each of us requires a personalized approach to health and wellness.

STARTING GROUNDED MIND BODY BREW
Grounded came out of my love for fitness, the outdoors, flavorful coffee, and the concept of earthing/grounding.
"Being in direct contact with the Earth has a tremendous impact on our quality of sleep, immunity and pain management while decreasing stress and inflammation. Additionally, I'm passionate about organic high-quality coffee and teas and know that for many people (not all) it has numerous health benefits including a great pre-workout energy boost. The naturally stimulating effects of caffeine is my go-to pre-workout energy and performance enhancing boost.
For 15 years I managed a holistic/non-traditional mental health program serving adults diagnosed with mental illness. During this time, I saw firsthand the impact of physical health on mental health. With a firm understanding of the mental/physical health connection, I developed and led a health and wellness program. I learned to train and coach individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities. After my last knee surgery in 2018, I resigned knowing that I could best support my own mental health and that of others through a pracitce of improved physical health. "
